Known for their bold patterned foiliage, Calathea varieties fold up slightly during the night time, revealing the often colorful undersides of their striking leaves.
This plant will do best in medium to bright indirect light. I would completely avoid placing this plant in direct sunlight. The leaves will burn. Keep soil moist, but not saturated. If the leaves start to curl up or brown, mist them with lukewarm water or use a pebble tray.
